I love the web site! I miss racing there. My last race there was a month before you closed. I broke my Mustang there but still pulled 11.65 in the quarter. Take care! – Mike Fenn USMC

I first visited Carlsbad after we moved to Oceanside in 1965. I got my picture taken in Garlits front engine cars when I was 12. I raced Motocross there with the CMC in the early to mid 70s, then drag raced some before moving east. It is hard to express what Carlsbad meant to me. I think that I would have turned out to be a lot less of a man without it. I saw all my heroes there. Don Prudhome, Garlits, Wild Willie, Chi-town Hustler, etc....thanks for the memories. ---Don H.
I really enjoyed your website with the old photos of the tracks. Keep those memories coming. Thanks for keeping Carlsbad Raceway going for 40 years. When was the first USGP held at Carlsbad? I was a young teen then but I do remember my first Hang Ten Grand Prix with Rolf Tiblin riding around on the track with a 50 pound camera and battery mounted to his head for ABC. Over 15 years later I worked in construction with Rolf Tiblin in Palm Springs for a couple of years. Thanks for the memories. – Gregory Martin
